Welcome to the Centre For Existential Practice
The Centre for Existential Practice (CEP) is a community of existential / phenomenological practitioners wishing to further their knowledge, communicate their thoughts and participate in the on-going development of theory, research and practise.
CEP’s primary focus is Professional Development for those wishing to enhance their knowledge of existential and phenomenological theory and apply this understanding in everyday practice.
The Centre offers short courses and workshops on a variety of topics, each of particular interest in relation to professional development. For example, the Foundations and the Advanced Existential Theory & Practice are taught over five days to accomodate individual levels of experience and knowledge. For those experienced paractitioners who are either practising as a supervisor or wish to add further skills, a specific existentially focused Supervisor Training is on the timetable for July.
In addition to the two-day workshops - The Anxious Client and Building Conscious Leadership, the 2009 calender incorporates a series of one-day events such as Group Leadership and The Relational World of Couples. These are all open to those who have an interest in integrating existential ideas into their practise.
These courses and workshops are designed to inspire learning, motivate discussion and stimulate self-reflection and are delivered by consultants who are recognised as having an expertise in their chosen field. They are open to participants of varying levels of knowledge and experience.
To help further expand our community of existential thought and practice, CEP welcomes suggestions. Should you have a proposal for a workshop, wish to deliver one or have contributing ideas or suggestions, feel free to contact us at
